The Tenth Month Of Command

he prepares for takeoff

Passing the Imperial Valley en route to Yuma

The Nightmares approached the Birthday Ball season having hit homeruns on both the maintenance and operational fronts. Marine Attack Squadron 513 has more Harriers than any other 'Gun Squadron' in the Marine Corps. Moreover, they're the cleanest jets in the Harrier community. Here are some of the professionals who make that so.

Asst Maintenance Officer and
Maintenence Control Chief have a friendly chat

When Cow was Maintenance Officer
of the Wake Island Avengers, Gunnery Sergeant Luke was his Avionics Chief; now he's a retired
Master Sergeant and a Boeing Technician

Staff NCO's love having
their picture taken

The Chief of the Ejection Seat Shop
has his fingers (and head) in everything...

'Squeak' is easily our smallest Marine,
but he handles big jobs

The window upstairs where the CO
(and lately, Fraggle) watch the REAL work being done

Six new Corporals on November 1st

...and three new Sergeants!

Our newest pilot, 'Shifty,' stands next to 'Jones'

Our Logistics Chief reenlists--and
makes it a family event

Every squadron should have their own 747
